How to use a Gua Sha

The Gua Sha can be used on the face or entire body:

Use the gua sha as an instant face lift by performing pressure movements along the forehead, cheeks, under the eyes, chin, and neck. Repeat each stroke 3 times before moving on to the next section. Press hard enough that your skin turns red, but doesn't hurt or bruise. Do the treatment 3-4 times per week for ultimate results.

Use the gua sha as a detoxifier all over your body by hugging the skin tightly with the gua sha and using long pressure strokes. Divide the body into sections and repeat each stroke 3-5 times.


Please note: that each of our Gua Sha are carved from pure raw crystal. They are buffed and polished to maximal smoothness. In all Gua Shas, across all brands, due to the nature of crystals and the necessary process of forming them into the requisite egg shapes, it is normal and natural for there to be natural variety: differences in colors within a crystal, minor surface imperfections. This is part of the natural power of the Gua Sha and part of what makes yours individual.  As long as there are no jagged edges or sharp fractures (we perform our own inspection, but please do your own, as well, as you get to know your Gua Sha) – then your Gua Sha is safe for use.
