How Yoni Egg can Help Bladder Control

How Yoni Egg can Help Bladder ControlYoni_Egg_Journeys

We don’t always want to think about incontinence.  But it’s real, it’s nothing to be ashamed of—and it happens to a lot of people.  According to the American Urological Association’s statistics, a quarter to a third of men and women in the United States suffer from urinary incontinence.  Not only that, but urinary incontinence is more common in women than in men. It is estimated that 30% of women aged 30 to 60 suffer, compared to 1.5% to 5% of men.

Those aren’t things you’ll hear very often—people are embarrassed.  But don’t be!  There are a lot of reasons why it happens more to women than men—but there are many ways you and your Yoni Egg can help with it. For example practicing pelvic flooring exercises.

Now, what exactly is bladder control?  Urinary incontinence is the loss of bladder control or leakage of urine.  It can happen for all manner of reasons—even when you just laugh or sneeze.  Don’t despair!  There’s a lot you can do.

Women have unique health problems, such as pregnancy, childbirth, menstruation and menopause, which can affect the urinary tract its critical surrounding muscles. This means that the pelvic floor muscles that support the bladder, urethra, uterus, and intestines may weaken or be damaged; that’s part of why Yoni Egg practice has, for centuries, included pelvic flooring exercises.  When the muscles that support the urinary tract are weak, the muscles of the urinary tract must work harder to hold the urine until you are ready to urinate. This extra pressure on the bladder and urethra can cause urinary incontinence or leaks, and so you can use your Yoni Egg to help strengthen your control.

Biologically speaking, Urine is produced by the kidneys and stored in the bladder. The bladder has muscles that contract when you need to urinate; it’s no coincidence that this is similar to the action frequently involved in Yoni Egg use.  When the bladder muscles contract, the urine is expelled from the bladder through a tube called the urethra. At the same time, the sphincter muscles around the urethra relax to let urine out of your body.

If the bladder muscles contract suddenly and the sphincter muscles are not strong enough to pinch the urethra, you might need to urinate.  While it was once believed that this was a problem of age, it is not generally inevitable.  You can utilize Yoni practice to develop stronger, healthier muscles.

And of course, your Yoni Egg can also help you relieve stress, not only through its sensual utility, but through the properties of many Yoni Eggs themselves.  Ask us our recommendations to figure out which Yoni Eggs are best for you under these circumstances.

Whatever you do, remember that you have options, you have control of your body, and you’re part of a sacred tradition which has endured for millennia: The Yoni Egg Journey!
